| So I haven't written in a month. Sorry. I actually was going to abandon Xanga all together (and I still might) but it lured me back. I've been having a lovely birthday so far, despite the fact that my throat hurts and I'm popping throat lozenges like maniac. The weather is beautiful here, like 65 degrees and sunny. Everybody's been saying "Happy B-day" and one girl sang me a happy birthday song in Spanish (not "Feliz cumpleanos a ti", but an actual, traditional Mexican birthday song) it was awesome. My roommate put a sign on our door and a couple of my friends decorated my door with bows and such. And later tonight they're taking me to dinner. All in all, an awesome day. Thanks to everybody who "happy birthday"ed me on fb, def some interesting messages on there *cough*Evan*cough*. Anyway, I'm really excited about Thanksgiving and seeing everybody.

| IU is still great fun. My sister made fun of the fact that all I did on a Friday night was go to Applebee's and then come back and watch Dirty Dancing 2, but I had an awesome time. Yeah, at least I didn't go to the opera like everybody else. But at least I have edgy friends...two of them got tattoos this week. School's going well--A on my lit paper, A on my Italian test, A on my math test. And I'm going to tutor an ESL kid! So yeah, I 'm still having a blast.

| Time goes by so fast here, and I feel like I've been at IU forever, even though it's only been about 4 weeks. Things are settling down but I'm still having a blast. My floor is still awesome, although we do have some drama, but that mostly just provides entertainment. I, for one, also believe we are on the brink of "dormcest"--when two people on the same floor date each other. However, despite all this fun and excitement, sometimes I do think about where I'd be now if it were senior year again, and how I'd see all of you all in my classes and we'd hang out on the weekends and bake random stuff. We don't even have a kitchen here to bake stuff. It's very sad.

| Awesome weekend--Project Runway watching, pizza eating, Mommy and Daddy visiting, football game winning (soccer game losing), becoming the publicity officer on my floor, late night catch-phrase playing, and PILLOW FIGHTING!!!
PS. Kyle and Stephanie: I found a four year member of JCL from Indiana on the 3rd floor.

| So far I'm having a great time at IU...on my top bunk. But that's another story. Oh and our room is minus two feet of width bc we're at the end of the hall. Anyway my roommate's really cool and so are a ton of girls on our floor (I heart honor floors). But we haven't started classes yet so that could be bad.
